Hi! I'm Nino, from Italy and I'm 22 years old. I'm a Computer Science university student, science & tech enthusiast, hobbyist musician (I play electronic keyboards), scout leader, ttRPG player, gamer and professional nerd :D I'm an Italian native speaker and a B2 level english speaker. I've always been passionate about video game translation and localization, often working to create or improve translations for games I play and love. At this point I've been doing it for over 7 years as a hobbyist and 2 years as an online freelancer and I've gained some experience in the field. I have experience translating game/software content like many minecraft mods, indie games, websites and mobile apps, either working from scratch or fixing incorrect previous translations.

I am a PhD candidate at Koç University, Istanbul, at the faculty of Archaeology and History of Art. I have studied English for almost 20 years, I wrote my master thesis in English and my current PhD program is fully taught in English. I have translated a large amount of material from English to Italian, from Italian to English and from Turkish to English in the past years. I started my career 21 years ago as in-house translator and PM at a translation agency based in Turin, Italy. After three years, I decided to take up the challenge and become a freelancer, in order to devote myself to those texts I was most interested in. My experience as PM gave me a deep insight into all aspects related to the translation process, thus I perfectly know and understand the needs and expectations of Project Managers whom I work with. I am able to work under pressure, and manage large volumes of work with no prejudice to quality. I am able to translate very technical texts, like instruction manuals for X-ray inspection systems, but also to use my creative side to produce translations of content marketing articles.
