Since starting to work as a translator in March 2016 I have translated and revised over 500,000 words in a broad range of fields, including marketing, technical, automotive, medical, sport and many more. I am committed to producing quality work, forging lasting relationships and constantly improving my skills.

Native English speaker with 10 years of experience translating into English (5 as a full-time translator), an Undergraduate degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Translation. I also have 9 years of experience teaching English as a second language and have worked as a copywriter for 1 year in-house, and 4 years as a freelancer.

I love helping creative businesses and academics find the right words to reach the right people. I like asking questions. My aim is to ensure clear and correct style in my mother tongue. Attractive prose is important to me. As is striving to make life better. I am a member of Catalan professional translation association APTIC and a Qualified Member of the UK professional translator's association: ITI. I am also a certified Proz.com translator in all my language combinations and a member of the UK based Emerging Translators Network for literary translators. If I had to describe myself: a linguaphile. All of my life, I have been passionate about languages and how they apply to our day-to-day, from work to art to shopping and everything in-between. I'm an avid reader and love researching new methods or applications for linguistics and translations, especially website localization. //// I currently work both as a project manager for translations as well as a freelance translator for French to English texts. My main specialties include: -technology, marketing and business. However I also have experience with: -cosmetics, fashion and tourism. //// My work hours vary greatly and I tend to be available most times during the day and night and pride myself in the ability to turn around rush projects same day.

With English as my first language, I grew up in a bilingual country where I was exposed to both French and English, hence my excellent mastery of my source language. I studied microbiology at university, then obtained a postgraduate diploma to teach biology, which I have been teaching for six years now. As a science teacher and translator with three years` experience in the industry, I am able to handle a variety of texts, and am particularly interested in science-related fields. I have experience in medical, legal, economic/financial as well as editorial translation. I also translate certificates, transcripts and academic testimonials. I do not accept to work in fields which I do not master, and do not work into my source language because I could not guarantee the quality of the work. I look forward to working with you.

I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.
