I am a Lomonosov Moscow State University graduate in English, French, German and Spanish languages. During the course of my studies at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies I acquired a solid base in linguistics. Now I am studying at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University to get a second bachelor's degree in Biomedical appliances, which makes medicine and medical devices the area of special interest for me. I have extensive experience in technical (user manuals, technical guides, specification sheets, patents, software documentation, etc.), medical (clinical studies, articles, medical equipment manuals, clinical research, etc.) and legal (contracts, certificates, apostilles) translation as well as in marketing and website localization.

From the last year of the university I have experience in translating from English and Swedish. After the university I worked in several companies and in addition I worked as a translator-freelancer to make my skills better. I lived 1 year in Sweden and 4 years in Germany. For all my life I do not stop to learn new things and enlarge my knowledge. If I need something to fulfill my responsibilities perfectly I will learn how to do this. I think that people improve their skills and knowledge during all life.

What is a great translation? It is not just a number of foreign words translated into another language. It is a power of connecting people of all linguistic families through making them understand each other. It is a magic power to transfer poetic rhymes, legal and judicial statements, modern and hi-tech innovations, business incentives, and fashion logos to every corner of the world. Translators are not just people doing their jobs, they are magicians making miracles.

After being trained as a translator at university, I spent several years preparing students for Cambridge examinations (such as IELTS, FCE and CAE). At the same time, I was frequently asked to translate medical and technical texts and received positive feedback, which made me consider taking more translations. I enjoy the process of translation as it demands both creativity and precision, and it is also a perfect opportunity to learn more about this world (I am particularly fascinated with biotechnology and medicine, which is why I prefer to work with research articles, clinical studies, etc).
