I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

I've worked for a few decades as a translator and storyteller for governmental and quasi-governmental agencies before moving on to being a freelance translator and copywriter. I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies.
