Freelance ES & PT > EN translator, editor and interpreter since 2012. I localize online, marketing, commercial and PR content to help give clients direct access to the English-speaking market, specializing in the tourism industry. My extensive translation experience includes tourism websites, legal documents, rental contracts, social media articles as well as literature, having translated my first book last year (2016). Dear Sirs, My name is Sunita. I'm not a certified translator but I have a large and extensive experience in the translation and proofreading field in the English-Spanish language pair. I have accomplished important and huge online projects for a large number of companies, dealing with a very ample variety of topics such as engineering, architecture, monthly and yearly financial reports, marketing, websites, legal documents, dentistry and other medical topics such as translation of medical history of cancer and tuberculosis patients, children story books, novels, etc. Very punctual at delivery of the projects, exactly on the day you need it for or even before the due date so as to give us a chance to make any changes if necessary. Born in India, but brought up in Spain. My full education took place in Spain in a bilingual School.

I am a proficient bilingual Spanish to English and French to English translator, proofreader and copy editor and I specialise in marketing, technical, medical and legal texts. Living in Spain for over 10 years has enabled me to perfect my language skills and offer a professional translation, proofreading, and copy-editing service. I also undertake post-editing work. My work includes proofreading and editing translations and work (business and academic) written by non-native English speakers to ensure it reads as accurate and natural English. Through my intense and ongoing language studies I have the skills, both as a translator and interpreter, to present an accurate and contextual form of the source language in the target language. As a content writer I write copy for many sectors including: marketing, e-commerce, SEO, finance, IT, property, travel, home interiors, education, construction, retail, and languages.

I came a little late to translating... I spent a few years trying out different careers. I worked as a legal assistant, a bookkeeper, an office manager, an HR representative, even a restaurant manager... all before I found my calling. While I sometimes wish I had gotten into translation sooner, I'm thankful that I was able to experience such a wide variety of positions. It makes me a stronger translator, as I'm well versed in the vocabulary used in such widely different positions. Now, I'm able to put all of those various skills to use, helping others to communicate with the best, most natural translations possible.
