Hi, I am Mücahid, mostly called Muco for short :). I am a freelance translator with 2 years of experience. I have been speaking English for 17 years and French for 6 years. I am a huge books and movies nerd, and I am not just saying that, I love Star Wars Saga, Pulp Fiction (actually, nearly all movies made by Tarantino), Godfather, City of Women and a lot more... I also love rock. To begin with groups, Black Sabbath, Ghost, Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin, and more. Besides that, I went to Medical High school, so I am familiar with latin terms. I also lived in Paris, France for 6 months. During that time, I studied at Sorbonne. I am an English Language and Literature teacher graduated from BEU in 2017. I worked as an ESL teacher and now continuing my career path as a translator. In the time span from 2018 to 2020 I got my second education at MBA(Banking and Insurance) in UNEC.

Have been working the translation field since 2006. Have experience translating all kinds of technical, legal, medical documentation.

Being a freelancer for over 5 years, I have delivered several successful projects for many LSP's. I use QA and CAT tools in every project to ensure mechanical and semantic quality while efficiently using my time. I have completed my Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation. Being in relationship with languages and translation have always been my passion. I can define myself as a researcher who seeks the foundation of science and technology, and deals with developing it with an innovative approach to put forward a reasonable solution. To refer to my educational background, I completed my BSc and MSc studies in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Sakarya University, Turkey, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. I was awarded a scholarship by Turkish Government to study PhD abroad in July 2007. After taking English course in Brighton, UK, and getting the sufficient IELTS score, I started to study PhD in the end of January 2008 in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester in the UK completing with a distinguished thesis in October 2012. My research areas vary from power electronics, wind energy conversion systems, control systems, power systems, renewable energy technologies, power conversion, converter design and control, electrical machines, avionics, blockchain to smart grids

I was born in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. During my high school years, I studied English and Arabic for four years. I started to learn Korean language two years before my high school graduation. Now I'm attending to 29 Mayıs University, Interpretation and Translation department in which I found a chance to take classes about Introduction to Translation, Translation-Oriented Text Analysis, Linguistics, Translation Technologies, Interpreting practices, Intercultural Communication Skills, Turkish for Translators, Academic Reading/Writing, Contemporary World Literature, Contemporary World Drama, World History and Arabic. I’m quite interested in literature. I like translating texts from different kind of domains such as medical, technical, literature, marketing and localization.

I have been providing localization services to industry-leading customers such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Twitter, Lenovo, Dell, Sony, Oracle, etc. through some agencies. Working on a time-restricted schedule, I provide timely deliveries with a main focus on customer satisfaction, which requires being highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
