I grew up in the Netherlands near the German border, attended a German school, and had friends from Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, which allowed me to develop fluency in both German and Dutch. I began working as a freelance translator during my master studies at the University of Vienna in 2013. During this period I mostly did subtitling jobs for the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna. After my graduation in January 2015 I began to work with several translation agencies, specialising in tourism, arts and culture, legal texts, website translation, marketing and cosmetics.

I am an experienced, educated (MA Translation) translator, with experience in translation, post-editing, proof-reading and editing. I work with SDL Trados and ATMS but am always open to learning more tools.
