I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.

I have been working as a freelancer since 2006, translating texts on various subjects. Although I specialize in fiction and humanities, I also translate general technical texts. I work for individuals and commercial organizations. In 2012 I received my PhD in Linguistics. I combine my freelance job with my work as an Assistant Professor in Moscow State Regional University.
