Freelance Translator and Interpreter

I can define myself as a researcher who seeks the foundation of science and technology, and deals with developing it with an innovative approach to put forward a reasonable solution. To refer to my educational background, I completed my BSc and MSc studies in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Sakarya University, Turkey, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. I was awarded a scholarship by Turkish Government to study PhD abroad in July 2007. After taking English course in Brighton, UK, and getting the sufficient IELTS score, I started to study PhD in the end of January 2008 in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester in the UK completing with a distinguished thesis in October 2012. My research areas vary from power electronics, wind energy conversion systems, control systems, power systems, renewable energy technologies, power conversion, converter design and control, electrical machines, avionics, blockchain to smart grids

I have been providing localization services to industry-leading customers such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Twitter, Lenovo, Dell, Sony, Oracle, etc. through some agencies. Working on a time-restricted schedule, I provide timely deliveries with a main focus on customer satisfaction, which requires being highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality. I was born in 1998 in İzmir. I am studying Translation and Interpreting at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University. I am also doing a minor in psychology. In my education, I'm exposed to many different proffessions that will increase my translation competence and cultural understanding. I am able to use Cat tools. I started working as a full-time sworn in-house translator in 2007 and worked continuously for the the same translation/localization agency for 10 years until March 2017.
