I have been doing freelance translations from German/English into Turkish since my college education. I have been providing professional translation, proofreading, editing, and transcription services for 6 years now. I am Turkish and Azerbaijani citizen, and speaking both languages as mother tongue. I have studied an English medium university and hence, I speak English fluently. Besides, I worked in Russia and learnt Russian language also.

My Freelance Translator Journey Before putting an end to my career as an officer in the Army I had chance of doing great volume of translation works at the highest HQ of Army for 7 years from English to my native language, Turkish, in the area of military, security, defense, international security, arms control, disarmament, peacekeeping operations, peace support operations and crisis management. Besides that experience as a translator I worked at United Nations Lebanon mission (UNIFIL) Operations Center which is one the most important and longest missions of United Nations in the context of peacekeeping that gave me priceless experience on crisis management, peacekeeping, peace support and international security and its of course terminology. Not only this honorable mission did gave me experience but also I organised many events and attended at many meetings, workshops, seminars, events and courses in the area of disarmament and arms control in United Nations, OSCE and NATO.

I have a B.B.A in Economics from Anadolu University and 18 years of experience as a translator, localizer and interpreter, including interpretation, proofreading, transcription, consultancy and business communications. I worked for many translation offices in Turkey and abroad as a freelancer. In my 18 years as a freelancer I have helped a great number of businesses improve their market share by improving their documentation and communication. My clients include advertising agencies, public relations firms, company marketing departments, large stores, marketing firms, magazines, TV's and creative agencies. Also I was working as interviewer for UNHCR on the verification of registration data of Syrian refugees in Ankara.As a native Turkish, I am fluent in Arabic and English. I am a Translation & Interpreting student having experience in translation and game localization. Among the courses I've taken there are consecutive interpreting, gender studies and translation, medical translation, audiovisual translation, literary translation, editing and proofreading.
