I am a native Turkish speaker and a certified translator/interpreter with over 10 years of experience in translation, interpreting and proofreading. I started working as a full-time sworn in-house translator in 2007 and worked continuously for the the same translation/localization agency for 10 years until March 2017. I started my career in the translation and localization field working as a vendor translator for SDL plc. when I was at Boğaziçi University. During that time, I completed several projects and gained experience mostly in technical translation (automotive and manufacturing). In 2017, I started my first full-time job as a translation project manager and carried out project management and quality assurance tasks for almost a year. In 2018, I was hired by a software company, JotForm, as a full-time English-Turkish translator. For 1.5 years, I translated a wide variety of content including JotForm's website, landing pages, products, inspirational blog posts, and mobile app into Turkish, which helped me gain immense experience in software localization and marketing fields, and knowledge in HTML language. I am a localization professional. I've worked with major accounts for 7 years. I set out towards Trakya University for my education on Translation and Interpretation. Taking an active role in the efforts of Trakya University Translation Club (TÜÇEV) and The Union of Translation Students (TÜÇEB), I was graduated in 2012. I have been working as a professional translator since sophomore class. After having graduated from Bilkent University's Translation and Interpretation Department in 2002, I worked in several sectors including media and advertisement, while also continuing my profession as a freelancer.
