As a passionate linguist, I made my debut in the translation and localization world in 2014, when I was only a freshman in the university. I started as an intern and ended up to be freelance translator at SDL Turkey for 2 years. During this period of time, I gained immense amount of experience and I learned how to use multiple translation tools. Following that, I worked for a transcription company and made transcriptions of voice records both in English and Turkish. Finally, I started working with Localex in 2017 and that was one of the best decisions I made regarding my profession. During my time in SDL plc. and Localex I made translations, reviews and proof-reading in a wide variety of fields such as law, IT, marketing, legal, medical, gaming. I have been a freelance vendor for various localization projects since 2013, mostly working with SDL, El Turco and Localex. In the mean time I had the chance to work with several Cat and QA tools like: Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast, Smartcat, Memsource, Transistor, Verifika, Apsic Xbench and so on.

I have a diploma in Translation and Interpretation Studies from one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey, and I have spent 3 months in Canada to enhance my technical competencies upon its completion. I have gained technical experience in English-Turkish technology translation for press with major companies such as Nokia, alongside translation for other diverse subjects. I also possess some knowledge of Russian and German, although my expertise lies in English-Turkish and Turkish-English translation.

I am a patient, active, respectful person. I speak Arabic, English, German and currently learning Turkish. My hobbies are reading, drawing and graphic designing.
