Romanian is my mother tongue and I am a Certified Translator with over 10 years experience and strong knowledge of terms, grammar and spelling. I have a degree in Law and International Relations and a strong passion for writing. I create and translate content on various subjects, especially in the fields of business, law, finance, tourism, lifestyle and fashion. I have experience working in advertising and with creative content. I also offer transcription (audio/ video) and proofreading services. I speak fluently English, Romanian and Spanish. I have experience using CAT Tools (SDL, MemoQ, OmegaT, Wordfast) and I am currently available to take on new projects.

I am a Romanian native speaker and have been working as a translator and proofreader for more than 10 years. I mostly translate contracts, legal documents, marketing, IT and fashion related content. I am also an expert in transcreation and localisation, making sure that ideas and words are translated naturally. I am prompt and always deliver on time, with an eye for detail.

After working for several years for different translation companies, as secondary job, offering translations services from English into Romanian, as well as from Romanian into English, mainly technical documents, I decided to offer my services as a freelance translator in Smartcat, as well. Some of the major companies for which I translated different types of documents I can name Kraft Jacobs Suchard, GlaxoSmithKline, Dexion, Kärcher, among sporadic jobs for Romanian companies. You will not be able to find any samples of my work, other than the standard Smartcat sample document, since I have never asked acceptance from my customers to use parts of the translated documents for personal purposes. I love translating legal documents (e.g. contracts, certificates, notarial certificates, licenses, patents, apostilles, legalizations) and other documents such as books, emails, academic transcripts, websites, and user guides.

I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. Briefly, I love everything related to languages.
